CU contributes to fulfill a significant goal of "Building up a welfare society". Most of the credit unions carry out community development activities, sponsoring various social activities and education programs. Furthermore, some credit unions retain recreation facilities for public use, such as a fitness center, a gymnasium and an auditorium. In line with member services, urban credit unions in cooperation with rural credit unions set up distribution networks to provide fresh and non-chemical agricultural products for a fair price.

■ OnNuri Community Service
    Sharing is the center of CU’s spirit that spans to our community services.

CU’s OnNuri Community Service is designed to help those in need in our neighborhoods as well as to promote kinder and more loving community spirit.
CU’s volunteer members began their community services in local areas to improve community development and organization. Through regular training programs, they raise their communities’ awareness of the importance and the need for community service.
Each month, CU’s volunteers donate a portion of their proceeds for a family in dire need of financial and emotional support. These campaigns to raise donations for our neighbors in need provide hope to those in difficult situations.
In addition, CU administers other service programs designed to assist the elderly and disabled persons in assigned areas, as well as campaigning for environmental protection and rights to strive towards local area development and preservation. CU always remembers the spirit of CU’s mission that began during difficult times.
Helping our neighbors in need is the first small step of many to improve our world. Community development services, campaigning for international Credit Union, etc. are some of CU’s efforts to contribute and give back to the community.
