International collaboration and global networking have given us a valuable opportunity to understand a rapidly changing environment of the international credit union community.
In the Asian perspective, NACUFOK was one of the five incorporators of the Asian Association of Credit Unions in 1971 and has been playing a significant role in solidifying credit unions in the Asian region through technical consultation and an education program.
In the worldwide perspective, NACUFOK joined the CUNA International in 1964 and made every effort to represent credit unions in developing countries in the 1970s and 1980s. It has become the fourth largest movement of all members, affiliated to the World Council of Credit Unions, the apex trade organization and development agency over the international credit union system. NACUFOK is also known for active participation in the International Cooperative Alliance and the International Raiffeisen Union.
